March to May

Belonging to subtropics, Ishigaki island has early summer around on April and the ocean and the sky shine blue. Although rainy season starts around on May, sudden strong squall stops quickly. So you can enjoy diving in no crowded ocean. You may be able to watch migratory fish, this term is also spawning season for many kinds of fish. Especially, spawning of corals is very mystical.

June to August

Rainy season finishes around on middle of June, and then midsummer is coming. In this season the ocean is usually calm, but the sunshine is very strong. We highly recommend to protect it. Suntan cream, T-shirt and cap are necessary. Of course, you can watch manta rays at high rate.

September to November

In this season manta rays intensify their courtship, males chase females to attract and capture them. Their love attacks make divers delight. But in this manta ray watching best season also many typhoons are approaching Ishigaki island. Due to approaching typhoon, sometimes diving itself is canceled. September and October has strong sunshine same as summer. From beginning of November north seasonal wind begins blowing.

December to February

In this season Ishigaki island has usually north wind, so main diving points are located near Osaki. So many kinds of fish, including rare fish fascinates under water photo manias, can be watched in this area. In some case north wind stopping, and you can almost monopolize manta ray point. Anyhow ocean is good visibility and no-crowed in this season.
